MPharm Pharmacy

Course Overview

The Keele University MPharm Pharmacy is a four-year, evidence-based, patient-centred programme that combines innovative teaching with increased opportunities to practice clinical skills. The curriculum covers key themes such as how drugs work, how they are formulated, and how they are used to treat medical conditions. Students develop a solid foundation in biological and chemical principles, as well as essential communication and clinical skills for working with patients and other healthcare professionals.

This degree is designed to prepare students for the future roles of a pharmacist. The programme includes approximately 30 weeks of placement experience in community, primary care, and hospital settings. The final year of the programme is designed to prepare students to enter their foundation training year after graduation.

Entry Requirements for Nigerian Students

To be enrolled, students are required to submit a personal statement, and a relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CV along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview. 

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants typically need A-Levels at ABB, a Distinction in a T Level, or a DDM in a BTEC. International qualifications equivalent to A-levels are also accepted.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need an overall score of 7.0, with a minimum of 6.5 in each component. Other test scores, like TOEFL and PTE, are also accepted.

Cost of Study

For international students taking the MPharm Pharmacy at Keele University, the fee is £24,900 for the 2025/26 academic year.
