BSc Computer Science Games

Course Overview

This course gives students a strong foundation in computer science, then applies it directly to making games. Students will start with the basics of programming, maths, and problem-solving before moving on to things like data science, AI, and software engineering. A big part of the course is hands-on programming and software engineering, which teaches students how to build complex graphics and create modern 2D and 3D computer games.

The programme is very practical. Students can choose to do a year-long work placement in the industry. In their final year, they will do a big project where they will use everything they have learned to tackle a real game development problem. This project is a great way to show off what students know and get ready for a technical job in the industry.
