MSc Human Resource Management

MSc Human Resource Management of Glasgow Caledonian University is designed to prepare students for a deep understanding of human resource management, ethical, cultural, legal, operational and strategic aspects and moral leadership in global settings. 

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development-accredited (Level 7 Qualification) course is also recognised by the Australian HR Institute and has been aligned with US-based Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) standards. It provides a globally relevant perspective on HR practice while maintaining a strong connection to current industry trends and professional standards.

At Glasgow Caledonian University, you’ll engage in critical analysis of internationally recognised leading principles, professional standards and trends in human resources with relevant industry practice. Graduates will be prepared for a series of contemporary experts and generalist HRM roles and for the management of people in a varied national and global environment.

The objective of this course is to expand expertise in national and globally relevant subjects such as resource and talent management. Graduates also develop specialist areas around the UK employment relations and legislative framework.

Grade requirements

UK honours degree 2:2 (or equivalent) in any subject area.

Non-standard entry is considered for applicants with CIPD certification and/or relevant experience

English Proficiency

Academic IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent) with no element below 6.0.

The annual tuition fees for this course in the 2025/26 academic year are as follows:

• Home (Scottish) and Rest of the UK Students: £8,900
• International Students: £18,800

Please note that fees may be subject to annual review.

The university offers scholarships such as the Academic Excellence Scholarship and the Bell Scholarship for high-ranking students. Bursaries are also available for eligible candidates.
