The BSc Paramedic Science at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) is Scotland's first university-based route to paramedic registration. It is also the first programme in Scotland to be endorsed by the College of Paramedics, ensuring alignment with current professional and curriculum standards, while delivering forward-thinking education for the paramedic profession.

Entry Requirements for Nigerian Students

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement outlining their motivation for applying to the course, as well as any relevant academic background or experience. A supporting reference from an academic or employer source is also required. Candidates are encouraged to include a CV to highlight relevant work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants are required to obtain 102 UCAS tariff points, including A levels at AABBB, Scottish Higher at BCCC or equivalent, including Higher in Biology and Maths.
  • A-level equivalent international qualifications are also accepted

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency. This is typically done by achieving an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no individual component below 5.5
  • Equivalent scores from other recognised tests, such as TOEFL or pte academic, are also accepted.

Cost of Study

The annual tuition fee for international students enrolled in the BSc Paramedic Science programme at GCU is £15200.
