Course Overview

The BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Glasgow Caledonian University is an undergraduate course that trains students in both electrical systems and modern electronics. Entry Requirements for Nigerian Students

Grade Requirements:

  • Year 1 Entry: 90-96 UCAS points from A-levels, BTECs, or equivalent. Should include maths and a science or tech subject. 
  • For year 2 Entry: HNC Electrical or Electronic Engineering with a B in Graded Unit 1
  • For year 3 Entry: HND in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or equivalent with a minimum grade B in the graded units
  • If you do not have the typical academic entry qualifications but can demonstrate relevant work experience and/or credits from recognised professional bodies, you may be eligible to enter this course via the university's Recognition of Prior Learning scheme.

English Proficiency:

  • An IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no component below 5.5. Other English proficiency tests are also accepted.

Cost of Study

In 2025/26, the annual cost of studying BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Glasgow Caledonian University is £15,200 per year for international students.

Scholarships

Glasgow Caledonian University offers the International Student Scholarship. It gives up to £2,000 off each year’s tuition fees. It is given based on academic performance and applied automatically to those who qualify.
