MSc Forensic Psychology and Mental Health

The Coventry University MSc Forensic Psychology and Mental Health programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). This course is for students who wish to work in forensic mental health and the criminal justice system. It offers a detailed study of forensic psychology and mental health, and it covers mental health conditions, risk assessment, professional conduct, and legal frameworks.

Students on this programme will learn through experiments, realistic experiences, and by applying their knowledge practically. Grade Requirements:

• Candidates need a 2:2 or above undergraduate degree in psychology.
• Undergraduate degrees in Science or Social Sciences may be accepted, if they include 50% of psychology modules with evidence of students in research.
• International qualifications equivalent to an undergraduate degree in psychology may be accepted.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants need to score at least 6.5 overall in the IELTS test, with no component below 5.5.
• Other English language test scores, such as PTE Academic and TOEFL IBT are accepted, amongst others.

The international students’ tuition fee for the MSc Forensic Psychology and Mental Health programme at Coventry University is £18,600.

Coventry University has some scholarships for international postgraduate students including, the Vice-Chancellor Postgraduate Scholarship, which gives students £2,500 off their tuition fees if they start in November 2025, January 2026, or March 2026 - it is open to all international students except those from the EU or UK, and they do not need to apply separately, the university will check if they are eligible when they accept their offer.

The Alumni Discount gives a 25% discount on course fees for students who have graduated from Coventry University, which is automatic. EU students might be eligible for the EU Support Bursary, which brings their tuition fees down to the same rate as UK students, and it is applied automatically. Finally, the Sports Scholarships give them £1,500 or £3,000, with extra support, but they need to apply for this one separately, and it is only for students starting in September 2025.
