BSc Computer Science
Course overview
Coventry University's BSc Computer Science course gives students the practical skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the fast-changing world of technology. Students will learn about important areas like software development, artificial intelligence, parallel programming, and data science. This prepares students to create digital solutions and build software that meets user needs. Choosing the foundation year option gives students a solid academic start before moving on to the main degree.
The course teaches students through hands-on activities, so that students will put what they learn into practice with projects. In the first year, students will have about 15-18 hours of teaching each week, plus time for their studies. There's also a chance to do a year-long work placement, which helps students get great work experience and build professional skills for their career. Students' learning will be checked through various ways, including tests, essays, group work, presentations, reports, projects, and individual assignments.
