BSc Architectural Technology

This qualification prepares students for a key role in the construction industry as an architectural or building technologist. The programme focuses on architectural design, building performance analysis, and construction technologies to help students achieve sustainable building solutions. The course also aims to develop students' skills in creative aspects of design and provide them with a solid foundation in the drawing and modelling of architectural forms.

Students will be assessed using various methods, including design portfolios, coursework, essays, reports, and projects. Students may also be assessed through presentations, group work, tests, and laboratory tasks. As part of the studies, students will be expected to spend time in guided and independent study to review what they have learned and complete assignments.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants need 112 UCAS points. This can be achieved through various qualifications, including an A-level grade of BBC, a Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma grade of DMM, or an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme score of 29 points.
• A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including English and Mathematics, is also required.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section.

The tuition fee for this course is £19,850 per year for international students.

For international students, a number of scholarships are available. The International CU Undergraduate Scholarship can provide up to £6,000 over three years, while the Vice-Chancellor Undergraduate Scholarship offers up to £4,000 over the same period. Both are awarded automatically to eligible students. The university also offers Sports Scholarships for students who compete at a high level.
