LLM International Business and Law

This course helps students understand law and business around the world. It prepares them for jobs in these areas by teaching them important ideas and skills. Students will learn by doing, with hands-on practice in a Mediation Clinic, practice court sessions (moots), and presentations. The course focuses on classroom learning and real-world skills, with students using special facilities like simulation rooms and the Mediation Clinic. As a postgraduate student, you will join the Graduate College, which offers a helpful and friendly place to study.

Students will learn through a mix of classes, discussions, and activities. We will check your progress with written exams and assignments like essays, reports, portfolios, presentations, and a big project in your last year. Experts will also give talks, sharing their experiences from the field. If you have past qualifications or work experience that is relevant, the University has ways to recognise that.

Candidates will need to write a personal statement explaining why they want to study this course and share any other important information about their education. You will also need a reference letter from a teacher or an employer. You can also send your CV (a summary of your work experience) with your application if you wish.

Grade Requirements:

• Candidates need to have finished their first university degree (undergraduate) in Law with at least a 2:2 grade or higher.
• If your degree is not just in Law but includes Law as a main part (like a joint honours degree such as Finance and Law), you also need to have achieved a 2:2 grade or higher.

English Proficiency:

• If English is not your first language, you will need to get an overall score of 6.0 in the IELTS test.
• In this IELTS test, students must not score lower than 5.5 in any single part (like reading, writing, listening, or speaking).

The tuition fee for this postgraduate course is £15,500.

Canterbury Christ Church University has different scholarships and money help to support students. This includes a special International Student Scholarship for students from other countries who qualify for undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

Also, if the candidate has studied at Canterbury Christ Church University before for at least one year and earned a qualification, they could get a 20% off their tuition fees for a Master's degree, as long as they are paying for it themselves. Other help available scholarships include the Sport Scholarship, Sanctuary Scholarship, Bursary Awards, and the Canterbury Christ Church University Grant.
