BSc Nursing Mental Health

The BSc (Hons) Nursing (Mental Health) is a full‑time, three‑year undergraduate degree programme that is held at both Canterbury and Medway campuses. The programme blends theory and practice. Each student completes 2,300 hours of practice overall. You’ll cover areas such as assessment, care planning, interventions for mental health conditions, and professional issues.

Assessment is done through written work, practical exams, reflective journals and workplace evaluations. Training takes place in specialist simulation suites, hospitals, community settings and care homes, and when students graduate, they qualify to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement detailing their reasons for applying to the course, along with any relevant academic or work experience. A reference from an academic or employer is also necessary. Applicants have the option to include a CV to showcase their experience and skills.

• Grade Requirements:
• Candidates are to have a minimum UCAS tariff of 112 points, such as A‑levels at grades BBC, BTEC Extended Diploma at DMM or Access to HE Diploma (Distinction 15, Merit 30).
• Applicants should have GCSEs at grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants who do not have an English background have to meet the university's minimum English language requirements, an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in every section.
• Applicants can submit equivalent test scores, such as TOEFL and PTE.

The tuition fee for the BSc Nursing (Mental Health) international students is £15,500 per year.

Canterbury Christ Church University offers a range of scholarships and bursaries to international students, including A reduction of £1,500 from fees for each year of full-time study, for eligible international students.
