Entry Requirements for Nigerian Students

To gain enrollment, applicants are required to submit a personal statement outlining their reasons for applying to the course and providing any other pertinent information about their academic journey. Grade Requirements: 

  • Accepted qualifications typically include A-Levels (BBC), a BTEC (DMM), an Access to Higher Education Diploma with 15 Distinctions and 30 Merits, or 29 points from the International Baccalaureate. 
  • The university also accepts international qualifications deemed equivalent to A-Levels.

English Proficiency: 

  • For applicants whose primary language is not English, an IELTS score of 6.0 overall is required, with no individual component scoring below 5.5. 
  • Alternatively, equivalent English language test scores, such as PTE and TOEFL, can be submitted.

Cost of Study

For the 2025/26 academic year, the annual tuition fee for the BSc Biochemistry and Genetics programme at Canterbury Christ Church University is £15,500.
