BSc Diagnostic Radiography
Course overview
The Buckinghamshire New University Diagnostic Radiography degree offers a direct path into the diagnostic radiography profession. The course is designed to give students the knowledge and skills needed to meet the standards set by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the College of Radiographers (COR). This includes learning about the safe and effective use of imaging equipment, understanding health conditions, and quality control processes.
The programme also uses an in-person teaching approach, including practical workshops, simulated practice in the radiography suite, seminars, and small group problem-based learning. Clinical placements are a key part, linking classroom theory with real-world hospital practice.
In this course, students will develop personal and professional confidence, along with the technical ability needed for a rewarding job as a diagnostic radiographer, ready to work within the NHS or other healthcare settings upon graduation.
