MSc Registered Nurse Child

This MSc Registered Nurse (Child) programme is a two-year, full-time course designed to prepare students to become registered nurses who specialise in caring for children. The course is split between classroom theory and practical work, giving students the skills and knowledge needed to join the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register.

The course uses a combination of online and in-person activities, including lectures, seminars, group sessions, and realistic simulations. Students will be assessed through written assignments, examinations, and practical tests. These assessments are designed to prepare students for a professional career in child nursing.

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other useful information about their education. A relevant academic or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CVs along with their applications to show their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

• To be considered for the course, applicants need to have a bachelor's degree with a 2:2 or higher. Applicants also need to have GCSE Maths and English with a grade C or grade 4 or equivalent.
• Additionally, applicants must have at least 500 hours of practical experience in a health or social care setting before applying. They will need to submit a portfolio to show their relevant knowledge.

English Proficiency:

• Candidates from non-English-speaking countries must prove their English language skills.
• The minimum requirement is an IELTS score of 7.0, with at least 6.5 in all parts of the test. Other tests, like Pearson and BrunELT, are also accepted.

For this programme, the annual tuition fee is £22,320 for international students.
