LLB Law
Course overview
The LLB Law at Bangor University is more than just a degree to become a solicitor or barrister. It's a chance to study the important and current legal issues that affect society today.
Studying LLB Law at Bangor University means you will learn the main legal principles. It prepares you for many different and interesting jobs both in and outside of the legal world. You will build a strong foundation in core areas of law and understand how law changes because of changes in society, business, and politics.
This course meets the academic requirements for becoming a barrister (Bar Standards Board compliant) and gives essential knowledge to future solicitors. The course also teaches special parts of Welsh law that are different from English law. This prepares you for jobs in organisations working in Wales, England, or other countries.
As you continue your studies, you can choose subjects that match your interests, like international law, family law, or medical law. You can also choose practical subjects needed for the Solicitors’ Qualifying Examinations (SQE), such as Business Law, Wills and Estates, and Property Practice. This helps prepare you for professional training as a solicitor.
